This is a 56yo female who had 2 prior breast augmentations and developed capsular contractures both times very soon after her surgeries.  She even had a breast lift with her 2nd augmentation.  Patient just desired soft breasts.  Therefore, the patient’s implants were replaced with smooth round silicone gel implants (325cc) placed in a neo-subpectoral pocket.  Strattice matrix was also placed in the pocket for added reinforcement and to help prevent future capsular contracture.  A simultaneous mastopexy was again performed.  The patient was placed on postoperative Singulair to prophylactically prevent capsular contracture.  The patient is almost 1 year post-op without any recurrent capsular contracture and has soft aesthetically pleasing breasts.
